Ok please tell me im going nuts how do i check an SMD transistor and diode. In the case of the diode when i reverse bias through ohmmeter its showing some resistance
this has no relation with surface mount component
Ohm's meters reading varies on make and model
in the circuit there are some components other than the junction (diode and/or transistor)
the meter measures resistance by applying a voltage and measures the current or a current and measures the voltage.
this depends on the scale chosen
the fancier meters have a scale specifically to measure diode junctions
the normal scale voltage is very low and measures the resistance below the diode conduction voltage (typically 100 mV)
some Ohm meters (for insulation) measure with high voltages, 500V and sometimes 5000V
it is important to properly chose the instrument for the application

What type of amp should I get for my new bass guitar?
I just bought a cheap bass, and I’m looking for a practice amp. Can I use a regular guitar amp (in case I decide to switch to electric guitar) or should I defiantly get a bass amp?
Concerning the unsure outcome of playing bass or guitar: You can play guitar through a bass amp, but not bass through a guitar amp. It's a one way street. So get the bass amp.
Since I don't know how interested you are in bass, getting a cheap small amp could give you a horrible sound and be a complete turnoff. Get something decent. You don't have to spend top dollar, but go to a local shop, a Guitar Center if you have one around, and try things out. You'll run across something you like. If you think it's too expensive, get the name and model and look it up online. Win/win

How big does the hardware have to be for skateboard?
Hi, i'm going to buy parts to make a custom skateboard. I'm going to get a 7.9 inch board, 7.5 inch trucks, 51mm wheels, bearings, griptape and mounting bolts (hardware). I need to know how big the mounting bolts (hardware) have to be to fit the skateboard. From what I know, I think I need the 1 inch ones but they might be too small. PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks

Why does my 15Watt electric guitar amp sound dodgy when it is loud?
Line 6 Spider III, 8 inch 15watt amp, when near halfway full master gain it sounds really "out of place" and fuzzy etc
I have better sounds coming from it when it is more quiet, why is this?

Well with my electric Guitar on my 20 Watt amp It took a bit of modding to get rid of the problem; You can try seeing if a wire is out of place.. Also the Amp might be too close to a Magnetic object or a powerfull electronic device that sometiems muddles with the output.
