Would you like to hear a true Xmas story?

It twas the day before Xmas, and I was driving my van on an interstate when a station wagon started to pass me. I noticed that he had a Xmas tree tied down on his roof rack.
Just as he got beside me, I saw the tree take flight. It flew through the air until it landed in the grassy median. I saw his brake lights come on, and I wondered if he was going back for it and if there was anything to go back TO.
The next day I was on that same stretch of road, and there in the median, was that same Xmas tree (not in very good shape).
I guess he gave up on it.
I'm guessing he was either scrambling to find another tree or thinking about what he was going to tell his wife.

How much is a used Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus worth?

I have an 08 Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus that I bought from Guitar Center a year and half ago along with SKB locking hardshell case for it. The guitar is MINT and has barely been played. How much do you think it's worth? I am having trouble gauging the current market. (paid 700 buck for both new)

Also, I have a Line 6 Spider 3 150 combo amp that is less than a year old and has also been barely played. Any ideas how much it is worth? (paid 450)

The rule of thumb is that used gear sells for no more than half its original selling price. You can ask a little more if the gear is dead mint but you should be prepared to settle for half. Good luck.

Which Guitar Case is best for shipping?

I have an SG Gibson Angus Young edition, and need help with finding a case for transportation. The Guitar is my primary concern, and its being shipped by FedEx. I have found the following two, and wonder which would be most appropriate:

I'm looking at two different cases:
1) The SKB 66 Universal Case

Both will work but if I were shipping an expensive guitar, I would put it in a guitar case and then put the case in a box that has packing material all around the case. If you go to a FedEx office, they can pack it for you. The box will protect the guitar better and it will lessen the chances of the guitar getting "lost" in shipment. Musical instruments are often stolen when shipped.
