The new fork will fit onto the bike...both the old and new are 1-1/8" threadless and the steerer tube on the new fork is longer than that on the old fork. Your bike shop will cut down the steerer tube on the new fork, if necessary, to get everything to fit up.
Before you commit, do some checking on the old fork setup to understand its rake and typical distance from the top of the fork's crown to the axle. These measurements will give you some idea how the bike will "sit" with the new fork on. As long as the new fork is close to the old, no big deal. If it's way different, though, you will likely notice differences in handling. This is not a reason not to make the swap; it's just to be aware so you're not surprised.

large hole all the way through in drywall, where towel rack was?
How do I fix a 3 inch in diameter hole in drywall, so that I can rehang my towel rack. Or should I rehang my towel rack somewhere else after its fixed.
In detail please
i have an aluminum/metal towel rack
I would get a tub of premixed sheetrock cement. The 5 gal bucket is more economical than the small containers.
Fill the hole in slowly, you might have to put something in the wall like cardboard to keep the stucco from falling inside the wall.
Once you do that, add more stucco until you fill the holes. It takes a day or so to dry.
Once the hole is fixed, sand it smooth. If you can move the towel rack higher or lower, the towel rack will be stronger in new sheetrock.
Make a hole for one side of the towel rack ( I am assuming that the holder is ceramic ) If it is, make the hole bigger than the back knob on the fixture and put wet stucco on the back of the fixture. Push it into the hole and make it flush.
Let it dry over night !
Then do the same to the other side....Don't forget to put the plastic rack in place.

Which spare tire mount bike rack should I buy for my RAV4?
I want to buy a spare tire mount bike rack form my 1997 Toyota RAV4, but have heard stories of people damaging their vehicles, taking out the back window and difficulty attaching the rack. Which rack do you recommend? Yakima Spare Jow? Swagman XP2? Thule Spare Me? Another?
From what I know, the Thule is the rack of choice for the RAV4. The others have fit issues with the spare tire. Also, if you ever plan to carry more than two bikes, consider the hitch mount system. The weak link in a spare tire rack is the spare tire mount. It's really just designed to carry the spare tire so he max you can carry is two mountain bikes at best. I'm a roadie and I used to drive a CR-V. The Spare Me is what I used based on the rack shop that I went to. They sold every type of rack and they told me that for the RAV4 and CR-V, the Thule was the best choice and easiest to fit- even if it takes a little work to install. CR-Vs supposed have a little stronger spare tire mount than the RAV4, and the CR-V can only hold up to 70 lbs. That 70 lbs includes the spare tire so take that into consideration.

How do I fit a roof box/rack to a Ford Focus?
I have a W reg Ford Focus, and a standard Halford roof box which I need to fit.
The Focus User manual says to peel off the rubber/plastic strips from the roof of my car and then attach the roof rack to the rails. However this does not seem quite right because when I started to peel off the rubber/plastic strip it seems like the strip is glued on, and if I was to peel it off entirely, I am not sure how to get the strip back on after. Also, underneath the strip there does not seem to be a metal rail as I was expecting to attach the roof rack bars to.
Has anyone else attached a roof box/rack/bars to a Focus, and how did you manage?
Go back to halfords and talk to staff . take car with you . You may have wrong top box. Perhaps take car to main dealer as well .
