Help with mounting a flat screen on a stand?
I am getting a Sony Bravia KDL-40V4100 series 40" LCD HDTV. It may be the end of the week before I actually receive it.
We don't want to mount it on the wall (we have paneling and plaster behind that, in our living room - that gets messy). So today I purchased a tv stand that basically has two glass shelves on the front of it, and on the back of the stand, a steel support goes up and there is a swivel mount for the tv. There are the typical mount bars (one on top, one on bottom) on the rectangular mount on the stand.
The question: Will my tv come with the brackets necessary to mount this tv, or do I have to purchase them separately? Are they all universal in the way that they mount? I can't find the stand online anywhere that I purchased today. I'm planning on putting it together and just waiting on the tv to see what other hardware I will need. Any suggestions?
No, the Sony KDL-40V4100 HDTV does not come with any brackets. The mounting brackets needed to mount your TV should be supplied with the TV stand you have purchased. Every TV mount is unique, therefore, the brackets must be supplied with your stand. Every stand that I have assembled includes the brackets and a bolt kit to attach to the mounting holes of the TV. If your stand does not include the brackets, then return the stand and request a stand with the brackets.

1999 Ford Taurus cracked block??
ok this is going to be long. I bought this car cheap cause it needed a rack and pinion. Drove good for 3 months, but no heat.I went to replace the thermostat and noticed washers under one bolt and when putting it back together noticed the bolts were stripped. I took it imedietlly to a shop 2 miles from my house to be repaired.He tapped them out,no coils,and gave me the car back.It started running warm,i put water and saw a leak around the therm. housing.He looked at it said it was a bad gasket and gasve it back to me.My girl drove it,told me it was still running hot.Gave it back to him late on a friday, he coldnt fix it it was too late but said it was a warped housing.In need of the car i took it back went to repair it noticed a flat spot on the housing,replaced it then while checking all fluids before going on a trip noticed the milky oil, new it was screwed.He says its in no way his fault.The car was brought to him for bolts, but then for the LEAK which he never repaired.WHOSEFAULT
Driving any car that is overheating will cause the block to crack. Regardless of the origin of the overheating problem, it should never have been driven. Sorry, your fault.

What is a good kind of clarinet case?
I have a professional Selmer Paris 10G clarinet that I need a good case for that doesnt cost a ton of money. What are some good kinds? I was looking at thi one: http://band-orchestra.musiciansfriend.com/product/Protec-Slimline-Clarinet-PRO-PAC-Case?sku=540697 , is it any good?
I keep mine in ProTec cases - even my very valuable rosewood. You won't find a much better case other than an anvil case and you'd only need an anvil if you're taking it on a plane a lot. That's a really good price in that link for a ProTec too.
I like the ProTec propac case a little better over the slimline because it has storage space for "stuff" that always seems to need to be in a case with the clarinet.
The big advantage to these is the zipper closure - if it's zipped up, it's not going to come unlatched and fall out. Not much is worse than a wooden 10G hitting the floor from standing height because a cheap case came unlatched.
