The Slate Digital DRAGON Dynamic Audio Processor is unlike any other audio processor you've heard before. The DRAGON processor starts with a classic FET compressor circuit, reminiscent of vintage units from the 60's and 70's. But the Slate Pro Audio engineers enhanced the DRAGON's circuitry with a mastering grade signal path, including a CLASS A output section based around a custom-made transformer. The result is that the DRAGON's compression quality that is rich and warm, but is also capable of sharp and aggressive tones. But this is only the start of what the DRAGON dynamic processor can do. Three character settings change the way the DRAGON sounds and responds. The first setting is BOOM, which adds sub bass harmonics in a unique way. When combined with some compression, BOOM can make basses sound massive and kick drums pound like you've never heard before. The second setting is BITE, which adds a gentle forward character that makes the source more defined and clear. The DRAGON processor's BITE is superb on bass, snare, vocals, and guitars. Last, is SHEEN which adds an airy gloss to the source, reminiscent of classic opto tube compressors. The DRAGON's SHEEN setting is absolutely stunning on vocals, acoustics, and overheads. All 3 character settings can be used simultaneously! A 'VINTAGE' button enables circuitry which emulates a more vintage sound from a classic age of compression. The result is more harmonics, a bit of 'grit', and an overall more aggressive sound that is amazing on electric guitars, bass, and a must-hear on drums. The Slate Digital DRAGON has a 3-setting saturation selector for adding subtle harmonics or even gritty distortion to your audio source. On setting 1, it can add just the right of "life" to a dull vocal. On setting 2, it can add presence and warmth to a bass. On setting 3, it can add some rich harmonics to a snare to bring out the sustain. A high-pass filter gives you the option to control the amount of low end that feeds the compressor detection. Virginia roof-mounted light bar - off road/on road question?
This has probably been asked a million times on here, but I can't find an answer that fits yet.
If a person has a Delta SkyBar for his Jeep Wrangler, non-police/ems, is it legal to mount to a Jeep in Virginia? If yes, what are the rules (links OK)? If not, explain. This light-bar is similar to the police bars, but clear lights for driving, and no flashers or blinkers are attached (doesn't work like a cruiser light bar). Low profile. Non-round lights, not like what you see on most off-road vehicles. Six 4.5 Xenon driving lights, 330 maximum watts of power.
I would *assume* this bar is like other bars, legally, but in Virginia courts that can get you fried and hung out to dry. The judge doesn't know the laws, so it is up to the officer and the 'criminal' to prove the better case, by hook or crook, lies or whatever.

Don't know your local laws..but as long as you don't turn them on in public streets then you should be good. Just make sure they're for off road use or when someone is driving too slow then show them what daylight looks like late at night 
COPS are haters but you have every right to off road and as long as they don't flash red blue or different colors then you should be fine.

How to reinstall OEM windows on E-system 3083 laptop ?
Hi folks. Ive got a PC World E-System 3083 laptop that got a hal.dll problem. Ive re-installed another windows over the original one, but to no avail. The machine has a partition that contains the OEM system, but I dont know how to get to it. Which buttons/sequence do I have to press on startup to get into the OEM partition to reinstall the original windows?

when the pc is off turn it on by pressing the power button, immediately after you press the power button start tapping the F10 button and keep tapping until the recovery menu appears, select a full format (destructive recovery) and follow the instructions for this option. destructive does not mean it will break anything, it means it will remove all data and start again from scratch, this is always the best option and the one needed if you have installed a different copy already, it will remove the other copy of windows totally and reinstall your proper copy, you will probably need to enter the windows product key, it is on a greenish sticker probly on the back or side of the case, write it down carefully so you will have it incase it asks you for it, do this before you start the reinstallation

alright well my dad is a musician and so am i, what we use is garageband. that has pretty much everything you're gonna need. your style of music with that can go from jazz, techno, heavy metal... ANYTHING. it has mixers and everything. i recommend downloading/buying auto-tune for your voice (if you plan on singing). i'm not exactly sure what microphone to recommend but u should go to different music stores and ask for their opinions and then do some research. good luck!

Can numark x6 mixer be used for scratching or is it not made to withstand the constant harsh fader movements?
I bought it because I was told it was okay to scratch with and I wanted something with effects.
However, a month and a half later the fader is already crapping out on me. It still lets some choppy sound through for a couple seconds after I've closed the fader.
You can do one of two things:
1) Google whether or not that particular mixer has a replaceable cross fader and then replace it.
2) Get a scratch mixer
If your fader is leaking sound, i.e. You have it on the left deck and you can still hear the right deck, You can get something called "Fader Spray" which Is some kind of lubricant.
Alternatively, you can get a new mixer that is more geared towards scratching, the Vestax PMC ranges and The Technics DX1200 are two ranges of scratch mixers to check out.
Edit - I didn't answer your question. Numark don't make good mixers. if you get on DJ Forums or Skratchlounge, You'll see loads of threads complaining about the poor build quality.
Generally speaking, I only really mess with numark turntables.
